Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette - ($46)

The packaging on this new eye shadow palette is made of a sturdy cardboard. I would definitely feel safe traveling with it because of how well built it is. The words 'Shade and Light' are embossed nicely and you can feel them if you slide your hand across. There isn't a huge mirror inside but it's enough for what you need it for. The shadows are grouped in quads.

All shadows are matte, pigmented and smooth. They blend nicely together and you can tell a lot of work went into creating the quads. The colors in the entire palette go together very nicely. Even if you dip into more than one quad the look still comes out put together. The quad all the way to the right seriously opened me up to using red on my eyes. I'm always a tad hesitant because sometimes when you use red shades it can make your eyes looks tired/bloodshot. I ended up with a nice smoky burgundy look that I really enjoyed!

These shadows compliment each other and give you a good look - whether you're going for dramatic or natural. Definitely two thumbs up from me!

Love the attention to detail!!

One opening is dark and one is light! So clever.
