Both shades feel very smooth in the pan and have very good pigmentation. The highlighter is the main reason I bought these compacts and I honestly wish Make Up For Ever would release the highlighters individually! I wouldn't mind more of the highlighter and less than the bronzer. I find both bronzers slightly orange-y on my skin tone and don't find myself using them at all. The packaging feels like standard plastic (not too thin or thick) and houses the product in a compact way. It's small enough to travel safely with and won't take up too much space. The duo looks wonderful. It's a pity that you didn't find a bronze for your skin tone bronzer because nowadays I can't live without it.
