The brush retails for $49 and the compact retails for $38. Both are limited edition and housed in a beautiful rose gold packaging. The rose gold outer ring of the compact and the intricate detail inside is what tempted me to purchase this. I hadn't seen any swatches but the packaging alone made me buy. It also has a generous mirror inside.
I was surprised at the low quality of the brush. I thought it would have a substantial weight to it but it is simply made out of plastic. I might not have purchased the brush if I had felt it in store. I definitely do not think it is worth the $50. The actual bristles are super soft and gentle but I can't really find a handy use for it.
This product is extremely pigmented and shimmery. It would be absolutely beautiful on medium and dark skin tones. It is pretty dark on my skin tone and even as a blush topper it is very prominent. I use this as a blush topper only at nighttime. It gives me a gorgeous tanned glow without looking orange-y at all. This also kicks up a lot of product when you place your brush in so you definitely have to tap lightly. Overall, I think I’m going to love this product during the summer months when I am a little more tan.
