Becca - Shimmering Skin Perfector

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector - Poured - Opal ($38)

The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is a cream consistency with a high intensity. The shine that it gives off is not for the faint of heart. I find the formula very similar to the Colourpop highlighters. Not in the feel of them, since Colourpop's consistency is so unique, but it's similar when applying to the skin. They are both creamy with high shine (I don't say that lightly)! I have tried the mini highlighter that Colourpop released (Wisp) as well as their highlighter in their In Bloom collection (Double Dip).

This poured version gives you 5.5g while their powder formula is 8g. They are the same price. You might want to consider that if you're looking to buy. You can see the difference in size below:

I understand that you use less cream product when applying and it will dry out eventually but is it really that much more expensive to make a cream product?!
While I don't think they should charge the same price I think the mini compact is adorable. It is extremely travel friendly.

One big issue I have is with Becca's packaging (the highlighters - poured and powder - and their blushes). It is pretty consistent across the board. This UFO looking rubberized compact with a generous mirror inside. I have absolutely no issue with how it looks - I think it looks different in a good way - but I hate how they all look the same. There is nothing given for people to be able to distinguish between blushes and highlighters. I have three of the powder highlighters and I hate how I have to look at the back to figure out which one I want. This isn't something that takes up a lot of time but it would be a lot easier if I knew exactly what I was looking at.

This is best applied with fingers or with a synthetic brush. I think this is an awesome product for people with dry skin. It'll give you a glow and not attach to your dry patches. This is also extremely pigmented so it will appear on almost all skin tones.

Opal (poured), Rose Gold (powder), and Moonstone (powder).

Becca offers 5 different shades in the poured version: Pearl, Moonstone, Opal, Rose Gold and Topaz.
