So I wandered into Ulta to buy one thing.... this is what ended up happening >.<
Contour
Kit ($25)
All shades were surprisingly pigmented. I
suppose I didn't expect too much and was very pleasantly surprised to see that
ALL shades, including the very light, packed a punch. These powders blended
beautifully on the skin but tended to fade throughout the day. I actually ended
up returning this because the $25 was not worth how short they lasted.

Surprisingly there are no shade names |
Skinny Mascara ($7)
Love,
love, love, love and LOVE. I cannot say enough good things about this mascara.
It is absolutely amazing and fulfills its purpose beautifully. The brush is the
absolute perfect size to grab onto those small, almost non-existent hairs. I
have fairly long lower lashes and this does not overload them. After one coat
my lashes look extremely natural; it makes it look like my hairs are normally
dark, which they definitely aren't. After two coats the mascara extends the
lashes and coats them evenly for a more exaggerated look.
If you are someone
who is into putting individual lashes on your lower lashes (not a common thing
but people definitely do it and it looks fabulous!) then this product is
definitely for you. This is also perfect for girls or gals with very short
lashes on the top and bottom. It doesn't flake and doesn't get crusty or clumpy
with too many layers. LOVE!!!

The Skinny Mascara is on the right. This is comparing the size of the wand. |
Micro Brow Pencil ($10)
I
heard from CoffeBreakwithDani on Youtube that this was an exact dupe for the
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. I used to use the brow wiz every day but I
noticed my eyebrows actually thinning out. I got a little freaked, checked
other reviews and a couple of people noticed the same thing. I'm pretty sure
it's due to the wax-yness of the formula. It isn't incredibly creamy so it
tended to pull on my very thin hairs.
Safe to say I put the brow wiz away and
never used it again. My eyebrows slowly started filling in again and are now at
a normal fullness. I found this micro brow pencil to be a little more drying
than the brow wiz and I really didn't want to go through that experience again
so I returned this product as well. The color ranges are very odd and it's
difficult to choose your color without a tester. I did end up getting the wrong
shade, and normally I would simply exchange but the formula is what turned me
off.

Tame and Frame Brow Pomade ($7)
I
love this stuff!! I think this is an awesome alternative to the Anastasia
Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade. I use the ABH's version all the time but I
noticed that the pot dried out on me and haven't repurchased due to the high
price. Side note: I have only had the tame and frame for about two weeks so it
is entirely possible that it might dry out on me as well but I am way more
willing to repurchase this than spend $18.
Both the dip brow pomade and the
tame and frame are super creamy, easy to work with and once set on your eyebrows,
it gets a little crusty. Now, crusty seems like a bad word but for someone with
wild eyebrow hairs, the stiffness is very helpful in keeping them tamed
throughout the day. It is not uncomfortable in any way and if you were rub your
eyebrows the product is not going to move. If this pomade stayed creamy you
would easily smudge it and it wouldn't last all day. The stiffness helps
prolong this type of product immensely!
